Therapy for Anxiety & Life Transition
Healing is more than “getting over it.”
Healing is more than “getting over it.” It’s about finding a way forward when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or stuck.
Life transitions—such as career changes, relationship shifts, loss, parenting changes, or major identity transitions—often stir anxiety, self-doubt, and a sense of instability. Anxiety can make it difficult to trust yourself, manage stress, or feel grounded in your choices. Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and develop tools that support both immediate relief and longer-term resilience.
Therapy creates space for healing by fostering meaning and connection—both with yourself and with the people, roles, and activities that matter most to you. Through our work together, you can learn to manage anxiety and stress in the moment while also understanding the deeper patterns that keep you feeling stuck. This work often includes softening self-criticism, building self-compassion, and creating greater choice in how you respond to life’s challenges.
There isn’t one “right” way to move through anxiety or transition. For some, progress means easing panic attacks enough to enjoy leaving the house again. For others, it’s learning how to manage chronic worry, quiet an inner critic, or step more fully into a new stage of life. Your needs are unique, and therapy should reflect that.
A Supportive, Nonjudgmental Approach to Therapy
Therapy is not about performing, fixing yourself, or meeting someone else’s definition of progress. In our work together, we focus on what matters to you—at your pace, in a supportive and nonjudgmental space.
There is no single “right” outcome. Therapy may involve learning tools to manage anxiety more effectively, developing steadier ways to respond to stress, or gaining clarity during a period of transition. The goal is not to eliminate discomfort entirely, but to help you relate to it differently and move forward with greater confidence and flexibility.
Your experience is unique, and therapy should reflect that.
Individual Therapy Tailored to You
Therapy with me is collaborative and personalized. Some clients seek short-term support focused on a specific life transition or acute anxiety. Others choose longer-term work to address ongoing patterns of worry, perfectionism, or self-doubt.
Together, we will identify what feels most important right now and create a therapeutic approach that aligns with your goals, values, and capacity.
I work with individuals navigating:
Life transitions — such as career changes, relationship shifts, parenting, loss, or identity changes, especially when these transitions bring uncertainty, stress, or self-doubt.
Anxiety — including panic, chronic worry, overthinking, perfectionism, and stress-related overwhelm that can make it hard to feel grounded or confident in your decisions.
Stress, self-criticism, and burnout — when the pressure to cope, perform, or “hold it together” starts to crowd out rest, clarity, or a sense of direction.
Together, we’ll build practical tools for managing anxiety, strengthen self-compassion, and explore how your values can guide choices that feel authentic and sustainable.
A Safe Space to Grow
Therapy should never feel judgmental. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in harm reduction and care ethics. I welcome clients of all genders, sexualities, and life experiences, and I honor the ways culture, identity, and personal history shape how anxiety and transition are experienced.
Virtual & Flexible Options
Life doesn’t pause for therapy. I offer virtual sessions, so you can receive support from the comfort of your home or wherever you are. This can be especially helpful if you’re balancing work, caregiving, or other responsibilities. Limited in-person options are also available.
Start Where You Are
If you’re ready to explore your next step—whether easing anxiety or navigating a difficult life transition—I’d be glad to connect.
