Individual Harm Reduction Therapy
Individual harm reduction therapy is about meeting you where you are. That means you don’t have to fit into anyone else’s idea of recovery or change. Together, we’ll explore your relationship with substances—not with judgment, but with curiosity and honesty. This process isn’t about labeling you or telling you what you “should” do. Instead, it’s about helping you clarify what matters most to you, what role substances are playing in your life right now, and what kinds of changes feel possible.
From there, we’ll work to define what a healthier, more sustainable life looks like for you. For some people, that might mean cutting back and finding more balance. For others, it’s learning strategies to use more safely, reduce risks, and protect their health. And for some, it’s choosing abstinence and building support for that journey. Whatever your path, harm reduction therapy centers your goals, your pace, and your vision of well-being.
A Personalized Approach
In one-on-one sessions, we’ll work together to:
Explore your goals—whether moderation, abstinence, or something in between
Identify patterns in your substance use and what they may be connected to (stress, relationships, life transitions)
Learn harm reduction strategies to minimize risks and increase safety
Build coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, and the challenges that often come alongside substance use
Create space for self-compassion, reflection, and growth
Why Harm Reduction?
Traditional treatment often sets abstinence as the only marker of success. Harm reduction recognizes that people have different needs, histories, and goals. It honors your autonomy and centers your voice in shaping the process. Therapy becomes a place to explore—not to be judged.
Getting Started
Whether you’re sober-curious, cutting back, or seeking to make your use safer, individual harm reduction therapy offers a private, supportive space to talk openly and make changes at your own pace.
